CQ DETECTORISTS INC is a metal detecting club based in the Central Queensland area. We promote Metal Detecting, Fossicking and Prospecting. Its a great recreational hobby with lots of friendly, experienced members who are always happy to help people get into the hobby and new members are always welcome. We have monthly meetings at various locations throughout the Central Queensland area. We encourage new users to come take a look and have a chat with us.
Our Mission Statement :
CQ Detectorists is a club organisation for metal detecting and fossicking enthusiasts in the Central Queensland and surrounding areas.
The club supports detectorists who specialise in the search for coins, jewellery, relics, gold, gem stones and history.
The members have many years of knowledge and experience in detectors. Detecting and prospecting equipment.
Club members will have access to a collection of helpful and educational library materials, books, videos, maps, detecting equipment and advice.
Monthly meetings fundraising detecting/fossicking days are planned for social recreation and detecting/fossicking benefits. With an annual weekend camp. For a fun get together.
Metal detecting for coins, jewellery/relics, gold, and gems can be enjoyed by all age groups and by the whole family. It is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, keeping healthy, meeting new people, gaining private property permissions for the club digs also insurance and just having fun also seeing parts of the CQ area that you probably would never visit and unearth history that would otherwise never see the light of day.
