Cq Detectorists Xmas Party and Annual General Meeting to be held at the Bluebirds United Sports Club on the 15th December 2018 starting with the AGM at 5pm. Meals and drinks will be available to celebrate the first year of CQ Detectorists INC. Hope to see you all there.

This is not just a regular meeting it’s the AGM and this is the time to vote for Committee Members roles or to nominate for the positions available. We also want to discuss matters and work out what’s going to happen in 2019 as well as have a fun night and get together.

Cq Detectorists is having a token hunt with the Alton Downs Polo Cross Australia Day Celebrations starting at 2-pm. Everyone is welcome to come along, bring your detectors if you like or you can have a go with ours. There will be prizes to be won so come along and have a go. Food and drinks will also be available throughout the day, and as an added bonus free camping if you would like to stay the night.

Mt Larcom was the best turn out this year, with over 20 people attending for the monthly meeting. The club seems to be thriving at the moment as shown by the numbers attending. We held the official meeting at the Royal Hotel along with a couple of drinks and some lunch. We then headed across to the showgrounds for some detecting. Donnie Pascoe showed us some rock samples and what to look for when detecting for gold, he also buried a few pieces of gold in the ground to show people what to listen for and handed out some detecting advise to some of the members. November Club Meeting is at the Royal Hotel Mt Larcom at 11.30 am. We will be having a cold drink and lunch followed by the meeting. Then after it cools down a bit we are going for a detect at one of the local historical area’s of Mt Larcom.

We ventured up to the Mount on a very hot day, but we came away rewarded with a few nice old relics. One of particular interest was a 1902 German Gaming Token found by Mark. Here are a few pics from the mornings hunt.
